Information about some changes to Ocala Network.

Hello |USERNAME|,

I just wanted to send out a note letting all of you know that I have updated Ocala Network. It now has a new look and some new features. Here is a list of some of the new and exciting features:

First off I want to just briefly mention that Ocala Network now has a news area on the main page. Just scroll down toward the bottom to fund updated news, information and tips on how to use Ocala Network to its fullest potential. Now for the details of the new features and a reminder of some of the old ones.
1. Use your profile to its fullest potential!

Picture Upload: Put a face with that personality! Upload a picture of yourself (or something to do with your business such as a logo or a picture of the building, though I don't recommend this seeing as how the idea behind Ocala Network is to be more personal/professional with your clients / customers.)

Comments: You may now leave comments on other members profile pages. This brings Ocala Network into the business social networking field and means you have yet one more great opportunity to have open and clear communication between you, your fellow business acquaintances, customers, clients or whoever else would like to communicate with you that is a member of Ocala Network. Please note: This will be moderated, any inappropriate comments left will be deleted.

Networking Type: This field is there as a key for some one searching for a like minded person that they would like to get in touch with. Please select the appropriate selection.

2. User Ratings: Mark people for who they are.

Do you Know of a business or are you working with another Ocala Network member who is exceptionally helpful or friendly with their service? Give them an excellent rating! This also works in reveres. If you know of a member that is abusing the services of Ocala Network or is not showing business professionalism then rate the user accordingly. This will let others know to stay clear of that person and will let me know if I need to deal with that account or not.

3. Forums: Communicate with the public and partners!

While this is not a new feature it is one worth mentioning. Forums are a great way to get your business in the search engines! Post information, answer someone’s question, chit chat. All of these can help your business get in search engines. How? You might ask? Simply be sure to fill out your signature (in your settings for your profile. A good one to look at for example is Tropical Perfection. See, not only will this get you looked at in your posts but it also shows up in your online profile!

4. New Menu Items:

Please note: The main menu location has changed along with the new design of Ocala Network. Please excuse the disorganization over the next few days while I get things in order.

E-Cards:
I am sure everyone here at one time or another has used an e-card website such as bluemountain.com or halmark.com to send an e-greeting. Well, now Ocala Network has implemented that very same idea but with a twist. Every picture that you see in this e-card system was produced by Ocala Network Photography! Please, enjoy and be sure to check back again and again as more e-cards, music and soon to be video e-cards are added.

Tools:
Be sure to check out some of the new tools and leave your comments and ratings on how usefull these were to you.

Games:
Back by popular demand! I was surprised to find out how many of you business professionals play games! By request they have come back to Ocala Network. Enjoy but be sure to get some work done at least.

5. Old Menu Items Worth Mentioning Help Desk:
For any questions, help, comments, suggestions, or just to say a simple "hi" you can use the help desk. This help desk helps keep records of communication between you and Ocala Network. You also have the ability to upload content directly to Ocala Network if you are a client and need to send a file for content of a website.

Classifieds:
Not sure why but no one seems to be using these. They are 100% FREE at this time and are open to the public and search engines, meaning, that what you post will be searchable by google and other popular search engines. If you can't find an appropriate category for your item please let me know and I will personally create a category for you. Be prepared for another email soon with more features and updates. Ocala Network is moving forward, always.

The New Ocala Netowrk.

Welcome to the New Ocala Network. I have been thinking of different ways to improve Ocala Network and have decided to make my front page a blog page to keep you all informed of the new and exciting things to come and also to share some ideas and information with you all. Please be sure and contact me if you have ANY problems whatsoever with the new system. Let me know and I will do my best to fix the situation.

Tip of the moment number one

Did you know that your Ocala Netwrok profile lets you upload a personal photo of yourself? All you have to do is go to the link in your login box (the links that replaced where you logged in.) and click on settings. Scroll to the bottom and you can upload a picture of yourself or whatever you want to represent you in your profile. Any rude, sexual, or otherwise politically incorrect photos will be removed.

Also did you know that if you click on the members list and find some one you know you can leave a comment on their profile like myspace, or facebook? It's simple and a great way to make new business acquaintances.
